#1: The story starts with Ken Kaneki and Hideyoshi Nagachika at Anteiku listening to a news report, that a person's remains have been found along with fluid from an "eater species" at the Takada building on the 28th.
#2: The media is curious about Ken Kaneki's operation. Akihiro Kanou holds a press conference explaining the incident and the actions taken following the operation.
#3: Touka Kirishima notices that only one of Ken Kaneki’s eyes are red. She questions his refusal to eat the disembodied hand. She realizes that Kaneki was not eaten, and must have been associated with Rize Kamishiro.
#4: Ken Kaneki'Yoshimura gives Ken Kaneki a package, letting him know that he can come back at anytime. Touka Kirishima asks Yoshimura as to why he would help him, he begins to explain Kaneki’s origin as a ghoul, with Rize Kamishiro being responsible.
#5: Nishiki Nishio starts to assess Ken Kaneki, concluding that he is indeed a ghoul after he had purchased so much coffee from the store.
#6: Touka Kirishima slams Ken Kaneki's head against a wall, and discerns that he is a ghoul because Kaneki's body is not injured. Touka mortifies Kaneki since he does not belong among humans nor ghouls.
#7: The three try looking for the CD, but to no avail. Nishiki Nishio abruptly concludes that he left the disk at home and suggests that they go there.
#8: Nishiki Nishio continues to provoke Ken Kaneki, accusing him of planning to eat Hideyoshi Nagachika. Kaneki becomes annoyed and lashes out at Nishio for associating his friend with food.
#9: Touka Kirishima is seen talking on her cell phone. She informs Renji Yomo that she has business to take care of and she would be there shortly, which suggests that she was going to check on Ken Kaneki.
